The longest I lived anywhere was around 5 years and that has been in the last 8 years. Lots of memories but not of a hometown. This new home will be my last so it is my hometown with memories growing till the end of time
My children don’t have a hometown. When asked where they’re from, they say, “My parents are from Arkansas.” As someone said, “A rolling stone gathers no moss.” 🙂 Thanks for commenting, Donna. Your memories are what’s important–write them down, and enjoy them.
It seems no matter where we live our hometown will always seem like home. When i think of the place i grew up, it brings back so many memories, mostly good.
Thanks for your comment, Ginger. You are so right. No matter how far we may roam, our home place and our childhood memories are close in our hearts and minds.
