Airborne
There once was a gander named Dwight
who announced he could fly like a kite.
None of his friends believed him,
and it certainly grieved them
as they watched while he flapped out of sight.

I love limericks–such an accesible form of poetry. We didn’t end up doing much holiday haiku writing. The kids got home from school so late (just before Christmas), then we partied and went up north. Will have to try harder next year (perhaps I’ll host a family holiday haiku contest)

Funny! Do you have geese?

No. This photo was taken at the farm where a couple of “retired” elephants live. My oldest sister once kept geese on her farm. I photographed them a lot.
