Today, I saw a cenotaph
near where the children played
and there for hours I stayed
and thought I heard the children laugh,
for carved upon a stone
by little hands unknown,
I found a famous autograph.

Writer’s Dilemma

Writer’s Dilemma 

I write, I revise,
I walk the floor.
I wipe sleep from my eyes.
I write some more.
Who said writing’s fun?
Can’t prove it by me.
I prefer my spouse’s hobby—
watching TV.
