Out on a Limb

Squirrel rests after eating all that corn.

Today, a little squirrel came here to eat.
Across his back, he curled his tail of gray
and then he jumped into the feeding tray.
He sat and held the corn with his front feet
and ate his fill before he climbed a tree.
He scampered up the oak as if to play
but rested on the limb contentedly.
