THE SEARCH

Cougar

The cat went searching for a mouse
to bring to house.
He climbed a gate
and stayed out late,
still looking for a mouse or rat.
Persistent cat
kept on his search
and found a perch
where birds were roosting for the night
but they took flight
before his eyes
to his surprise!

BANNER MOUNTAIN GIRL # 47– I am not a Halloween cat

cougar the cat

I am not a Halloween cat.
My master  knows where I am at.
Although today is Halloween.
I prefer not to be seen.
And so guess what?
I tried
to hide
inside
this big flower pot
and I could not.
That’s what!

My Cat

Cougar
Cougar       My Cat
I always know
where he is at.
He naps inside
a flower pot.
Get’s a drink
when weather’s hot–
and when it’s not.
He shares his drink
with big bluejays
and never chases
them away.
He would catch
the peckerwood
if only he could.
End of story
about my cat.
I know exactly
where he’s at.
