Redbird & Purple Finch

This poem is a Jaleen. Pattern: 6-4-4-6-6-4-4-6, rhymed a-b-b-c-a-d-d-c.

The finch and redbird, too,
stop by to feed
on flower seed
when wintertime is here.
They brighten morning’s view,
their voices trill
from windowsill
and fill my heart with cheer.

  2. Don’t see red birds here, but finch and blue birds I see many of once the weather is nicer.

  3. spunkonastick says:

We have so many cardinal pairs in our neighborhood. They are pretty in winter when everything is brown and dead.
