A Mother’s Ingenuity
I often wish that I could write–
when I pick up the pen–
a story of the wren
that built her nest by moon-pale light
inside a green grapevine
to fool that old feline.
Persistence paid. Young birds took flight.

Yes. Actually this cat was looking up at a bird whose nest was on a rafter of a building where an auction would take place next day. So this is not my cat. 🙂
