HIKING THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL

” The Appalachian Trail is a continuous marked footpath that goes from Katahdin in Maine to Springer Mountain, Georgia, a distance of about 2160 miles.”  (Quoted from The Appalachian Trail Home Page)

Recently, my husband’s nephew and his wife, hiked a 55 mile section of the Appalachian Trail before their visit with us, here in the Ozarks. The couple, who reside in Idaho were quite impressed by their adventure on the Trail.

  1. Beautiful scenery. But, that’s one long hike. I loved the photos of their adventure.

    • I thought their photos were nice. I lived in Virginia almost two years. It’s a beautiful state. Linder talked about how pretty the Rhodendrons were along the trail. I can’t imagine all those beautiful flowers in the wild.

Beautiful scenery and adventurous couple. I like to hike, but it’s too late to try that kind of journey. Anyway, I like to sleep in a real bed and shower in a real bathroom!
