Squirrel’s Bed

Where does the squirrel sleep
on coldest nights
away from lights?
In bed of leaves and fur,
he snuggles there to keep
so warm and snug
as a wool rug,
soft as a kitten’s purr.

    They like to steal the birdseed, don’t they! We don’t seem to have squirrels. Not sure why.
