Raindrops and Redbirds — Day Four NaPoWriMo

Happy Rainy Cardinal Friday. :)

April shower sprinkles the lawn —
raindrops in early dawn.
The redbirds land
on pan
to feed
on flower seed.
They fly away through rain,
Leaving not one speck of the grain.

Such a pretty bird, but do not see many of them. In my back yard when its warm i see mostly Blue Birds and grey doves

Beautiful poem and photo, Freeda. Is that a cardinal? I’ve seen a few around here recently.
