No Room For Flowers

Some apple flowers in an early stage

The flowerbed
is waiting there for me
to dig and rearrange and spread
its contents gently ’round the apple tree.
But I must wait
until the rain dries up
and when it does, a likely fate–
the bed provides a place for little pup
to sleep. No flower grows
beside the puppy’s nose.

Nice! What form? I’m surprised that you “shared” a video of another blogger on your site. Is there a reason?

    • Thanks Pat. This form is an Ercil. An Ercil contains 10 iambic lines with syllable count of 4-6-8-10-4-6-8-10-6-6. It rhymes a,b,a,b,c,d,c,d,e,e. To answer the other question about the video of another blogger. It was shared on Twitter and shows on my blog, for blogger Lesley Carter, Biggest Baddest Bucket List, who is asking for votes to help her win a trip around the world. She has 2 days left for votes and she’s close to winning. Look at her video and vote for her. I hope she wins!
