She said it.
He said it.
I read it.
Therefore, it must be true–
my senryu is a haiku.
So who ever knew
that one was
and the other was not?
Surely not I
and certainly not me
and now I’m blue
as blue can be
because my haiku
is not my senryu.

I really enjoyed this poem. It made me think of gossip. Maybe I’m just bringing too much to the work after this week, but anyway…I like it.

Apreciate it, Kayla. How’s your writing going? And how is the little boy?

My little boy, Lukas, is great! He definitely keeps me busy. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to write. I did add about 40 pages to my book over the last break from school. I’m hoping to work on it a little more over spring break, and hopefully, I’ll get to go back to the writer’s retreat this year.

Your experiences of being with your little son will give you much material for future writing, so just enjoy each moment, as he grows.

My health issues are improving and I’m getting my strength back. Nothing serious, for which I’m thankful. There’s so much I want to do with my writing. Planning some book signings in the spring. I’m not planning on the writer’s retreat for this year.
