The poem below is my first attempt at writing a Haiku-Ku. According to my source, Pathways for the Poet by Viola Jacobson Berg, the Haiku-Ku has a quality of humor and may be titled. It has the same structure as the Haiku. And so, here is my creation.

Never heard of such a form, but I know Berg is the “bible” of forms. Or was. You’re getting lots of new experiences, huh?
Apparently so. I’ve been wanting to try the haiku-ku for quite a while. This one is about a San Antonio neighbor’s dog. One big black dog with a tiny white spot by his nose. Snow Nose. No way could I come up with a photo so hopefully the words show the image. 🙂
